Coaching, Advising, and Guidance services provided by PES and any/all designees are entered into voluntarily by PES and any/all Clients and focus on a “coaching partnership” (an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between Coach and Client to generate a thought-provoking, creative process to inspire and maximize client individual personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate Client creation and development of personal, professional, and/or business goals by aiding Client’s to develop and carry out their strategies/plans to achieve their goals.
1. Clients are solely responsible for creating and implementing their own physical, mental, and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions, and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and any/all interactions with the Advisor/Coach. As such, the Client agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach. Client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.
2. Client further acknowledges that he/she may terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time.
3. Client acknowledges that coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve different areas of his or her life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education, and recreation. The Client agrees that deciding how to handle these issues, incorporate coaching principles into those areas and implementing choices is exclusively the Client’s responsibility.
4. Client acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical, or other qualified professionals and that it is the Client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed. If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Client promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Client and the Coach.
5. The Client understands that in order to enhance the coaching relationship, the Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance, and to create the time and energy to participate fully in the process.
Services:
1. The parties agree to engage in electronic, video-based meetings, or “sessions” primarily using internet and video technology (unless in-person seminars are offered). The Coach will be available by e-mail between scheduled meetings for the purposes of triaging scheduling, fees, reimbursement, or technology issues. Individual Sessions are billed at 100.00 per hour.
2. The Coach may provide consulting, organizational, operational, or project work for clients using additional time per Client’s request on a prorated basis rate of $150.00 per hour (for example, reviewing documents, reading or writing reports, engaging in other Client related services outside of session based coaching hours). These agreements will be negotiated outside of the individual session fee structure.
"Life coaches focus on helping clients set and achieve personal or professional goals, while therapists are trained professionals who address mental health issues and emotional healing. Essentially, therapy is about healing and understanding emotions, whereas life coaching is about empowerment and goal attainment."
Life coaching can help individuals improve their self-awareness, develop new skills, create a plan for achieving their goals, and overcome obstacles that may be holding them back from success. It is not diagnosis based or centered on pathology or mental health symptoms, though there may similar barriers to motivation and utilizing strengths.
Life coaching sessions can vary in length, but typically last one hour. The frequency of sessions can also vary depending on the needs of the client from a few session to a longer term commitment of months. Client time and money are real considerations and effective coaches should only work with clients who state they are benefitting from the service.
Twenty-five years in healthcare as a clinician, educator, and consultant is what allows me to share insight and experience into what heals us and/or makes us better. Professionally, my experience has focused on education, prevention, and intervention across the healthcare field in developing and evaluating behavioral healthcare services. I have held professorships in Community Counseling, Educational Leadership, and Clinical Psychology, with multiple publications in behavioral healthcare.
Our focus is on learning how our own perceptions, thinking patterns, and corresponding feelings generate much of our stress, anxiety, fatigue and drain our energy and lead to burnout. Learning how and why this is so is to unlock a great mystery. Growth is usually simple, but not easy. It is worthwhile. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world and work towards their dreams.
I offer a range of services, including one-on-one coaching sessions, group coaching, workshops, and retreats. My areas of expertise include stress management, work-life balance, career transitions, and personal growth. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation.
